Guild Membership and Insurance
The Guild is the UK’s professional trade body for Beauty Therapists, Holistic Therapist, Nail Technicians, Hairdressers and Therapy Lecturers. Only qualified professionals can join the Guild, and membership shows your clients and colleagues that you are a true professional.

Insurance
The Guild is the UK’s largest provider of insurance to the professional beauty industry. We have over 30 years of experience in protecting our members from claims made against them in the course of their businesses. Our insurance policy covers all the popular treatments and has been specifically constructed to meet the demands and needs of professional therapists whether they work in a salon, mobile or from home. Membership Packages

NOTE - A joining fee of £10 is applicable to all membership categories.

Full Membership - £85 per year

Full membership includes insurance and is specifically designed for qualified beauty therapists, nail technicians and holistic therapists. The insurance covers treatment, public and product liability with an indemnity limit of up to £6 million. It insures you to work anywhere in the UK from home, mobile or in the salon.

Associate Membership - £55 per year

Our Insurance Policy

The Guild’s insurance gives you up to £6 million cover against treatment risk, public liability and product liability. The Guild is the largest insurance provider in the UK professional beauty industry with over 30 years of experience.

Our comprehensive insurance cover has been specially constructed to meet the demands and needs of beauty professionals.

The basic membership policy covers you as an individual to carry out all the popular beauty, holistic and nail treatments that you are qualified in. The insurance cover allows you work anywhere in the UK either in a salon, from your home, or on a mobile basis.

If you are a qualified Beauty Therapist, Holistic Therapist or Nail Technician, you can apply for Guild membership and insurance. We accept all nationally recognised qualifications that are on the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF). These include, NVQs, SVQs, VTCT, ITEC, CIBTAC, CIDESCO, City & Guilds, Edexcel, SQA, IIHHT, IHBC etc.

Guild Accreditation

The Guild of Beauty Therapists accredits more training centres and courses than any other organisation in the UK. The training courses you offer need to be accredited to be accepted for insurance purposes.

Guild Training International (GTi) is the training arm of the Guild. GTi courses have been written by the industry experts and meet the required National Occupational Standards (NOS).

GTi courses are highly popular as your students learn and are assessed online before their practical classroom training at a Guild accredited centre. All course material will be provided to you through your own account on beautyguild.com where you will be able to manage your students and training.
